given by Piotr M. Hajac of (IMPAN/Uniwesytet Warszawski)

The objectives of the Centre are to encourage research, by means of seminars, visiting lecturers, schools, and conferences, to provide a supportive environment for postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and visiting researchers working in the field, and to provide a top-quality graduate program in Operator Algebras and Noncommutative Algebra and Geometry. We are part of the project Geometry and symmetry of Quantum spaces, a transcontinental research project of the Mathematical Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences. We have organized the 2010 Canadian Operator Symposium, in June 2010.
